Big Ten College Basketball Indiana Hoosiers at Ohio State Buckeyes Start Time, Betting Odds

The Ohio State Buckeyes welcome in the Indiana Hoosiers today in Big Ten College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Buckeyes favored by a comfortable margin in this one.

Interesting line in this one as the Buckeyes come in laying a decent amount here. Indiana, though, has been spending quite a bit of time in their own building this year. The Hoosiers will play in just the fourth road game of the season this afternoon and hold a 2-1 record in those games, beating Nebraska and Illinois. Ohio State at home will be a very tough opponent and this will be the toughest road game to date for the Hoosiers.

Indiana, though, has won four in a row and five of their last six games. Indiana is just a half game back of Wisconsin in the Big Ten standings and have looked impressive through 19 games. The lack of play on the road is a bit of a concern and because of that, the schedule will see Indiana play six road games the rest of the way.

The Hoosiers are led by Yogi Ferrell and James Blackmon Jr. has been a very nice addition as a freshman, leading Indiana in scoring at 16.9 points per game. The guard position will give Indiana a pretty good shot in this one, but Ohio State has some pretty good guards as well.

The best of those guards is freshman D'Angelo Russell, who is averaging 19.3 points (second best in B1G) and 5.2 rebounds per game — both team highs. Russell is also handing out five assists per game as he is building a legitimate portfolio as one of the best players in the conference. He's on an insane run as well, averaging 27 points per game in his last three games.

Indiana has won two straight over Ohio Sate and recently beat them in Assembly Hall a couple of weeks ago. For what it's worth, Indiana has not beaten Ohio State twice in a season since the 2007-2008 campaign. The Buckeyes this year have been very good at home, sporting a record of 13-1 with the only loss coming to the Iowa Hawkeyes. And despite already winning 15 games on the season, Ohio State has not beaten a ranked foe all year. That will change today, but this game will be closer than expected.
