The Marquette Golden Eagles welcome in the Creighton Bluejays tonight in Big East College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Golden Eagles favored to pick up the win at home.

Creighton was inside the Top 25 once this season, but it's been a fall from grace for the Bluejays. Creighton is just 9-8 on the season and they've dropped five straight games, including four in the Big East. This will already be the Bluejays' third game on the road in the conference and they didn't look good in the first two.

Both Providence and Georgetown beat up on Creighton and Marquette will be looking to replicate those games. The Golden Eagles are 9-6 on the year but have dropped two of their last three overall. Both of those games, like Creighton, came on the road where the Golden Eagles have struggled.

Good thing for them, this game is at home. Marquette has a couple of guys averaging double digits on the season and they should be better now that Luke Fischer is back in the lineup, coming off an injury. Fischer averages 13.1 points per game to lead Marquette and it going to need a big game here. The Golden Eagles are not a deep team, which could give Creighton a bit of an advantage.

Rebounding should be key in this conference clash. Marquette is not a very good at rebounding the basketball, ranking 326th nationally at just 30.7 boards per game. Creighton isn't much better, collecting only 34.8 per contest, which is good for 190th. The team that rebounds better tonight will have a chance to win. 

With Marquette being at home and Creighton dropping five straight, the Golden Eagles look solid for a win here on their home floor.
