Monday night college basketball and we will see the Baylor Bears travel to the Frank Erwin Center to take on the Texas Longhorns. The game has a start time of 7:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN U. Current Vegas betting odds have the Texas listed as 3.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 129. 

Analysis:  The Baylor Bears come in having won 4 games in a row, which includes a including a very nice 79-70 road win over Iowa State last Wednesday and a 12 point home win over West Virginia on Saturday. The wins now put Baylor at 22-7 overall and 10-6 in the Big 12, while on the road they have gone 6-4 in true road games. The Bears have gone 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win and 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Texas. The Bears have been a decent offensive team this year, ranking 112th scoring (69.8 ppg), 181st in shooting (43.5%), 43rd in 3 point shooting (38.5%) and 267th in FT shooting (66.5%). Defensively the Bears have been very good as they come in ranked 22nd in points allowed (59.4 ppg), 38th in defensive FG% (39.5%) and 11th in 3 point defense (28.9%).  

The Texas Longhorns come in having lost their last 4 games in a row, including a hard fought 69-64 loss at Kansas on Saturday. The Longhorns are now 17-12 overall and 11-5 at home, but just 6-10 in the Big 12 for the year. Texas has gone 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Monday games but just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games at home. The Longhorns have been an average offensive team this year, ranking 152nd in scoring (68.5 ppg), 163rd in shooting (43.8%), 185th in 3 point shooting (32.1%) and 71st in FT shooting (72.1%). The defense for this team has been very good this year, ranking 45th in points allowed (60.8 ppg), 4th in defensive FG% (36.5%) and 176th in 3 point defense (34.0%). 

Pick: Going with the Under in this game. The Bears have played some higher scoring games of late, but this will not be one of them as both of these teams have been excellent defensive teams this year. The Longhorns have struggled a bit on defense of late, but still they have allowed just 57.2 ppg on their home floor this year, while Baylor comes in allowing just 56.8 ppg in teir last 4 games and just 59.4 ppg overall. The Offenses have been better than average of late, but this game just has the feel of much more defense than offense and that should keep the scoring in the lower 120s here.
