The Oregon Ducks are hosting the Baylor Bears in college basketball action tonight. The game is scheduled for an 11:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the college basketball betting odds for the game have the Bears favored to pick up the victory on the road.
Part of the Tip-Off marathon on ESPN, Baylor and Oregon are playing in an 11:30 game that is worth staying up to watch. The Bears are coming off an impressive win over Stephen F. Austin by 42 points — Baylor posted 55 second-half points in the bulldozing of the Lumberjacks. Rico Gathers posted 18 points and seven boards in that contest, he led a group of six Bears in double figures.
Oregon won its opening game as well, the Ducks beat Jacksonville State 80-52 to get the season going. Tyler Dorsey led the Ducks with 20 points, Dwayne Benjamin scored 16 coming off the bench as well. Oregon is still looking to replace Joseph Young this season, the freshman Dorsey showed he can shoulder some of that offensive load for Dana Altman’s team.
This is the first meeting between the schools and it could be and up and down game. Will fatigue be a factor? More than likely, which could bring fouls into the contest. Free throw shooting will be a big part of this contest, which should give Oregon an advantage. They’re also catching points at home.
