The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings continue their Second Round NHL Playoffs Series tonight with Game 4. The game is scheduled for a 9:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Kings favored.
Los Angeles won the opening two games of this series, which put them in a good position because both of those contests were in Anaheim. Yet, the Ducks found a way to get their own win on the road in Game 3. In tonight's game the Ducks will once again be pressured to get a victory in enemy territory, or it will become increasingly harder to extend their season.
The Kings made history when they came from down 3-0 in their opening series to advancing. But this veteran team never panicked and got solid goalie play from Johnathan Quick when they needed him the most. Quick, the best goalie in hockey, has held one of the best offenses in hockey to just six goals through three games in this series and tonight he'll look to continue keeping the Kings in the driver's seat.
Game 3 went Anaheim's way, but it was costly. They're a banged up team that could be without some key players tonight, but captain and leading scorer Ryan Getzlaf will look to shoulder some more weight for his team. The Ducks have had no problems scoring goals all season, but Los Angeles was the best defensive team in hockey during the regular season. In Game 3 we saw shades of both shine through and Anaheim is hoping to continue to put goals on the board tonight. They might be able to win a low-scoring affair, but the Ducks don't want to have to find out — they want to score, score, score.
Tonight we like Anaheim.
