The Tigers are going to be at the top of the ACC once again this season. While they have dropped games to inferior competition each of the last two seasons — Syracuse last year and Pitt in 2016 — this year's Clemson club is just going to be better than everybody.
Eight starters return for Dabo Swinney's defense, including the entire defensive line. This defense could be the best in the country if the secondary plays well, because the guys up front are going to consistently get after the quarterback. Offensively the Tigers should be just fine as well, Kelly Bryant returns at quarterback and Clemson always has explosive players at skill positions.
