The Purdue Boilermakers are one of the worst programs in college football. The 2016 Purdue Boilermakers Football Schedule has them playing some tough games in the Big Ten West, but the Boilers were able to avoid Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State on the schedule this season.
2015 record: 2-10, 1-7 B1G
2016 season win total: 4.5 wins (via South Point in Las Vegas)
Purdue enters another year under Darrell Hazell, the first three have not been very good as the Boilers have a record of just 6-20 during that time, including a 2-10 campaign a season ago. The defense gave up 36.5 points per game last season, but maybe the eight returning starters on that side of the ball can help improve a Purdue program that hasn't been to a bowl game since a 58-14 beatdown from Oklahoma State in the 2012 Heart of Dallas Bowl.
The Boilers have to find a way to improve on both sides of the ball.
