The NHL and NHLPA agreed to a tentative, new deal to bring hockey back to its fans on Sunday morning. While nothing is official and hasn't been signed or ratified yet, the two groups have agreed to bring hockey back and all that is needed now is legal ramifications ironed out.
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr announced they had things agreed upon and moving in the right direction on a new collective bargaining agreement with the players and the owners. A verbal agreement is all that has been issues by the sides, however.
"We still have a lot of work to do," Bettman said Sunday morning, "but it's good to be at this point."
That's certainly good news for hockey fans and the players. Yet, how are people supposed to feel about the entire situation?
