Boston College and Arizona will square off in the 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl on Tuesday, December 31st in Shreveport, Louisiana. The New Year's Eve showdown between the Eagles and Wildcats is scheduled to get underway at 12:30pm ET at the Independence Stadium; coverage of the postseason clash will be provided by ESPN. Updated 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl Odds are favoring Arizona at -7.5 against the spread and -300 on the money line ($300 wins $100). The Over/Under is Tuesday's contest is set at 57 points.

Steve Addazio took over a 2-10 Boston College team this year, but he also inherited a wealth of experience as 18 starters returned to Chestnut Hill. Addazio got the best out of his new pupils, guiding them to an impressive 7-5 record and their first bowl appearance since 2010.

The Eagles did suffer losses to USC, Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina, and Syracuse. They were, however, competitive in at least three of those setbacks and they gave the Seminoles their closest call of the season, losing 34-48 at Alumni Stadium.

Boston College, despite a season ending loss at Syracuse, finished the regular season in strong fashion as it wiped out Virginia Tech, New Mexico State, North Carolina State, and Maryland in the lead up to their showdown with the Orange.

Arizona finished with a 7-5 regular season record for a second consecutive year, its second under the direction of Rich Rodriguez. The Wildcats, with the exception of a 17-24 home loss to Washington State, took care of middling to poor competition, but they, obviously, had trouble getting past the Pac 12's upper crust.

Arizona lost by double digits to Washington and Arizona State but it was more competitive against USC and UCLA, falling 31-38 and 26-31, respectively. The Wildcats signature win of the season came on November 23rd, though, when they pasted Oregon 42-16 in Tucson.

Notable Trends: Boston College is 1-5 against the spread in its last six games as an underdog with a total of 54.5 or more points.
