The semifinals of the women's draw at Wimbledon is upon us as both matches get underway Thursday. The 2012 Wimbledon Semifinals pits Serena Williams vs. Victoria Azarenka in one matchup. The match is slated to be the second on Centre Court, behind the matchup of Angelique Kerber and Agnieszka Radwanska, which begins with an 8:00 a.m. EST start time. Currently the odds for the mach have Williams as a slight favorite at -175.

Picks: Both Serena and Victoria were considered to be favorites to win the 2012 Wimbledon title prior to the tournament getting started. Aside from Maria Sharapova, who was knocked out a few rounds ago, these two might be the best two players left in the world. Azarenka reached the semifinals last season but wasn't able to win the tournament, which was taken home by Petra Kvitova, who won her first major. Azarenka picked up a win earlier this year as the Australian Open and dominated the first half of the tennis season. She's motored her way through the field and now will play Williams, who has won five times at the All English Club in London. Could it be another great chapter for Serena this week?

Both players have big time serves and hit amazingly hard ground strokes, which allows them to be very good, aggressive grass court players. I'm not surprised either is at this point in the tournament and I think whichever person wins the match will win the tournament. Serena has the best serve in women's tennis and Azarenka will have to adjust accordingly for that. This has the makings of a great matchup.

The -175 odds on Serena imply she has a 63 percent chance to win the match, according to the odds. Those are some pretty lofty betting odds this late in the tournament when just one service break could be the difference in the match. We really like Azarenka getting the plus money here because right now we think she's the better overall player. I'll take Vica to win in three sets.
