The Offshore Report: Alabama Hammers Florida & Sportsbooks

Once again the late night prime-time college football games smack the books as Alabama and Wisconsin both win and cover easily . Like we mentioned last week many of the bookies are wondering when a prime time game will go their way in college football. BetOnline broke down the weekend for them as, "Had a massive day Saturday afternoon, then gave it all back and then some with the 3 biggest prime-time games going the public’s way." They also fell victim to a parlay bettor hit a twenty-two team parlay for $55.00 that paid $21,689.00. Right from the mouth of BetOnline, "We had guy hit a 22 teams $55 parlay for $21,689. Betting all big moneyline chalk with one obscure ML dog mixed in. The damn FSV Frankfurt (+265) was the killer. This guy actually hit numerous large parlays this weekend. All the same style, minus the one miscellaneous dog." Click here to see the actual selections.

When I checked in the non-US market, Sports Interaction summarized Saturday/Sunday by saying, "Another very tough week for us in CFB, while the NFL was okay and nothing special."

Here is the rundown of last week and a look ahead to what we know so far about the upcoming football action:

NFL results that made the books the most money Sunday:
*Bengals, 49ers and Seahawks.

College Football teams that cashed for the sportsbooks on Saturday:
*Texas A&M, Auburn and Kansas State.

What NFL teams cost them money Sunday:
*Saints by far due to being mixed in all over the place and being backed by both sharps and the public. Patriots and Giants.

Worst College Football result:
*Alabama and Wisconsin being marquee names and on prime-time destroyed the books and took back most of the profit made during the day/afternoon. Stanford and Notre Dame.

NFL early betting action for this week:
*NFL: Packers over Atlanta, New Orleans over Carolina.

College Football early betting action for this week:
*Sharps pound Rutgers +8.5 moving number to Pitt -7.

Early NFL movement
:
*Patriots were hammered by the public last week and early movement has money on them again. Jets looked HORRIBLE against the Ravens and opened up +8.0 on the road and are up to +9.0/+9.5 already.
*Sharps loving the value on the Broncos at home and jumped on the +6.0 and moved the number all the way down to +4.0.
*Green Bay as expected getting tons of love from sharps and squares as the line has already moved from -4.0 to -5.0 on the road versus the Falcons.

NFL injuries to watch:
*Andre Johnson. Most sportsbook are not offering a line on this game right now. The ones who do put up a -6.0 and 48.0, but most are waiting to know more on the Johnson situation.

Interesting notes:

*The Monday Night Football Game had the Colts +10.0. Early line predictions out of Las Vegas WITH Peyton Manning had the Colts -1.5 favorites, thus the current line saying Manning is worth 11.5 points to the value! The Indianapolis Colts were low as +1400 to win the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning which would have paid a $100.00 bettor back $1400.00. The current Super Bowl odds on the Colts are high as +25500 ($100 bettor would get paid $25,500.00).
