RAYS: What a difference a year or 2 makes, as the Rays look like the worst team in the majors. Tampa Bay is just 1-8 this season, the worst record in all of baseball. The Rays have been simply anemic on offense, as they've scored just 1 run in 5 games already this year. To no surprise, Tampa Bay is batting just .167 this season, easily the worst in the majors. Pitcher Jeremy Hellickson has a bright future ahead of him, and the Rays are hoping the sooner the better. Hellickson earned the loss in his only other start this year, but he did strikeout 10 Angels batters. Hellickson has never faced the Red Sox, so he's likely to be full of adrenaline tonight. The Rays are 9-3 in their last 12 Monday games. Tampa is 1-4 in their last 5 games as the listed underdog. The Rays are 1-4 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400%. Tampa is 0-4 in their last 4 games against the American League East. The Rays are 0-6 in their last 6 during game 1 of a series. Tampa is 0-7 in their last 7 games against a right-handed starter.
Projected Score: 6 (SIDE of the Day)
Rays are 1-9 last 10 games overall.
Under is 21-5 last 26 games overall.
RED SOX: (-155, O/U 9) Boston is coming off their most impressive win of the season, thanks to the efforts of Josh Beckett. The Red Sox started their season off in horrific fashion, but they are coming off a series win over the hated New York Yankees. Boston is currently 2-7 this season, just ahead of their opponent today, the Tampa Bay Rays. Pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka will try to match what Beckett was able to accomplish yesterday. Matsuzaka is coming off an indifferent opening season start against Cleveland. The Red Sox are 5-1 in their last 6 Monday games. Boston is 4-1 in their last 5 games as a home favorite. The Red Sox are 6-2 in their last 8 games against a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30. Boston is 5-2 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400%. The Red Sox are 1-7 in their last 8 games overall. The Red Sox are 1-7 in their last 8 games played on grass. Boston is 4-1 in Matsuzaka's last 5 starts as a home favorite. The Red Sox are 12-3 in Matsuzaka's last 15 home starts against a team with a losing record. Boston is 16-7 in Matsuzaka's last 23 starts during game 1 of a series. The Red Sox are 9-4 in Matsuzaka's last 13 home starts.
Projected Score: 4

I am a huge fight fan and have a great sense and feel for it. If I had to choose one sport over the other, I would say that I am a bigger boxing fan than MMA fan as I have been watching boxing far longer... Read more
