Before every sportsbook got the app to allow betting from your phone there were alot of off numbers....but all these sportsbooks on occasion will have off numbers because they are lopsided on a game or total.....overall I would say off shore lines are sharper but it depends on what off shore sites we are speaking of....I know LLoyd knows the so called soft spots but I don't think he will advertise them.....pinnacle by far is the sharpest line out there in my opinion.....
I'm not sure the app had anything to do with it, because before there was an app, all the numbers were still on screen at Don Best or SO. The real difference was when they consolidated all these shops so that numerous books have the exact same line. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there was a time when every book managed it's own line. That meant there were hundreds of options with each book having different clientele, and each having different exposure, both of which contributed to that book's number.
Now some guy sits in an office at Will Hill, moves a number, and it simultaneously moves at dozens of different Will Hill books around Nevada.
Everyone still follows Pinnacle and CRIS. If they move, everyone else follows.
There's nothing to hide about what the square shops are because it's common knowledge. Bovada and Sportsbook. Topbet was also in that group but it appears they're in the midst of becoming insolvent.
