Last year for the college bowls he started out 6-0 and stayed hot all year. Don't just read the newsie's top plays. Read what they say about all the games. Lawrence is the King of Gimmicks and I don't pay that much attention to, such as the SF one mentioned above. Neither the NFL nor CFB during the season. However, when the bowls begin, and we are talking about apples vs oranges, not inter conference games, his gimmicks seem to be more correct. At least they have the last few years it seems.
Since we are on the topic of newsies, lots of difference of opinions this week. More so than normal. I really like the Lions this week as many do. Then Playbook says Vikes by 4. I really like the Seahawks this week too. Many are predicting an outright win by the Panthers. Notice the drop in the line. Playbook says the Seahawks by 14 which is his 5*. Same as the Fins and Chargers. A few saying outright Charger win. Playbook says Fins by 6. Walter, whom I quote often here, has 3-5 unit bets (other than pick of the month being 8 units, these are his largest bets) on the Lions, Ravens, Jags, Panthers, 49ers, and Broncos. Usually he has two or three bets this large. He also loves the Browns as does Playbook (covering). One thing I've learned over the years, go with what's happening now, not what might happen tomorrow. Brown's offense scored 6 points last week against the worst team in the league. Yes, they should do better this week, but .......
Long way to go yet this week. Still time for half a dozen qb's to get hurt. Looking at my teaser spreadsheet, I see some very tempting numbers this week. Have to check the IR tomorrow to see if anything has happened. BOL with your picks.
