Sounds like they had it figured out. I bet when they won the $12k or so a week, the sportsbooks took in $millions off the same games. They'll pay $12k to take in $millions any day.
For those that try to argue how are they going to pay everyone involved to go along with the script , I would say they are already getting paid to go along with the script. When they get drafted , before they sign the big contracts it's probably explained to them that this is no longer a sport but is entertainment. Every
outcome is decided to create the best ratings and matchups that are best for the league is how it's sold (they don't come right out and say it's for gambling results). So these over paid jocks just go along with the game plans they are given each week just like we follow instructions by our bosses every week to earn our paychecks.
