I have been including 13pt teasers as part of my weekly betting for the past 2 years. I get them at -150 at Betonline, which, isn't great but -200 is way too high.
The system I follow is simple, take 2 low variance teams in each direction and include them on a 13 pt teaser.
* Team A rarely loses the spread by 13 or more. So they either cover or are close to meeting expectations. They rarely are complete no-shows.
* Team B rarely covers the spread by more than 13. So they either fail to cover or just barely squeak out a cover. They never come out of nowhere to blow the doors off an opponent.
I include teams where the sum of all of their games in the last 3 years is over 90% ('16, '17, '18 and now into '19).
Of course if Team A covers the 13 at 95% and their opponent stays within 13 at 85% it will be included. And vice versa. We could add additional tighteners but then you'd run out of teams to include.
So far this system is 39-5 this year on covering the 13 point spread. Unfortunately there are only 3 teams this week:
* Chargers vs. Packers
* Jaguars vs. Texans
* Lions at. Raiders
To explain the system:
* The Chargers have covered the 13pts 56 out of 58 times in the last 3+ years
* The Packers have covered the spread by 13pts only 5 out of 59 times in the last 3 years+
* (56+54)/(58+59) = 94.0%
