Easily cashed another free winner for the forum last week with the Vikings taking care of business against the Rams. The free plays have been on a nice roll, frankly better than the higher rated plays of late. I will offer up another this week and see if I can provide another solid win and hopefully with no drama.
As is usually the case this will not be a popular selection at the outset. Well, would you rather like the play before or after the fact? This week I am suggesting a play on the Jets, yes, the Jets plus the five hosting the Panthers. Seems like Joe Public really loves Cam and the Panthers this week and fading Joe is more often than not a good practice. The Panthers have indeed now won three straight games. They have knocked off the Buc's, Falcons and Dolphins. Considering the way the Falcons were playing at that time it is not exactly murderers row there is it. Frankly if you scratch around enough here fellas you can find trends to prop up either cause. None of which I find particularly relevant. One thing that did kind of stick out is the fact the Jets have in fact covered the number now in their last half dozen home games. The Jets are seemingly a team that does carry some pit bull mentality. Now there is no question the Panthers are the stronger team here roster wise, not there is also no question it's just never that easy. I also like the spot here for the Jets schedule wise. I know the Panthers looked invincible last time out but lets be candid here, the Dolphins were dreadful that night. I know because I was dumb enough to take them. While I admire the Jets grit and fight the Dolphins strike me as a soft team. No way in hell the Jets will roll over like a turtle here for the Panthers, particularly at home where they have been paying off bettors like an loose slot of late. The fact is after this game against the "easy" Jets the Panthers have huge games on deck against the Saints and the Vikings. We often talk about picking spots with certain teams based largely on schedule spots in the long season. This feels like a great spot to me to grab the Jets and the generous points. I can easily envision a field goal kind of game here. Like I mentioned earlier I expect the masses to be hitting the Panthers here. I also expect a lot of Panther tickets to be littering the bathroom floors in the mens rooms at the sports book this sunday.
On the business side I presently have my SEC game of the week up and loaded. No, not a game of the year. I fired that dude already. I only do one per conference per year. Last week it was on Missouri and they laid waste to Vanderbilt as I suspected they would. They led the thing 35-0 at the half and never looked back. I do have a Triple Star loaded for one of the games on thanksgiving day.
On a final note I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable thanksgiving holiday. I will ask everyone to take just a moment to give a thought and prayer if that is your beliefs to those who cannot enjoy the day with their loved ones and families. There are a lot of servicemen and women who surely would love to be sitting down at home on thursday. I remember sitting there at the thanksgiving table and watching my own mom cry because my late brother Lee could not be there. He was off doing this thing called the Vietnam war. Thus I always try to keep those families in mind. Okay, that is it for this week. Happy Holidays and best of luck with your action fellas.
