When I was on the EOG Radio Show thursday I already talked about th Atlanta Dream and that for me there is nothing betweem the Lynx and the Dream
I am from Europe and I have tons of outs betting offshore, so I bet the opening line on the Atlanta Dream +1 the limits are low but when you bet it at 10 sportsbooks then betting openers works
I just woke up and checked the lines it went to Atlanta Dream -2.5 i also think that the line might go back a point till tip off, I still recommend to play the Atlanta Dream today, even at that price
People in the USA have not even realized yet how good the Atlanta Dream will be this year, they were yesterday without french superstar Celine Dumerc she is still in Europe and will join the team in the first week of June, and then we will see the real Atlanta Dream, she is the recently best point guard in the world and in the form of her life,31 year old was 2time Euroleague MVP silver Medal winner with France 2012 at the Olympics and silver medal winner in the Euro Championchips, a real floor general and a wiz from behind the Arc.lol her name wasnt even mentioned in a season preview video from ESPNW, their so called "Expert" chicks are either total ignorant regarding the overseas players or the simply have a lack of information
Sure the Atlanta Dream won yesterday their opener against the Stars by 4 but they struggled in the end to bring it home after the lead was already 9 deep in the 3rd quarter, the Dream struggled a little bit from the freethrow line ,they should have shoot a little bit more, Erika de Souza couldnt convert easy lay-ups , thats uncharacteristical for her, Angel with a solid game but she can do much better, as I already said on the EOG Radio Show the Deam have one of the better rookis on their team with Louisville product Shoni Schimmel she had a amazing game yesterday, she made her first 3 pointer in the WNBA
,we will see much more from her in the next game, Swin Cash in her first game for the Dream with a rock solid performance in the defense but she needs to improve her offensive skills, her shooting yesterday was not what i expect from her, over all a good performance and the Dream will prove tonight how good they are this year, Indiana Fever having a good defense, but offensive totally collapsed against the Sky yesterday after leading by 10 points at halftime they could only score 10 points in the 4th quarter ,at one point in the first half their lead was 16, they gave away a big lead like they already did a few times last season
I have no doubt that Atlanta Dream is the right side today

WNBA 2014 Preview
The 18th WNBA Season tips off Friday 16th May with the defending Champions Minnesota Lynx hosting the Washington Mystics it should be a very entertaining season, from a gambling perspective lets hope that this year have less injuries, late scratches and other factors that lead to late drastic line movements and game changing influences. The Quality of the game will surely improve further as there are at least 10 high caliber rookies enter the scene, Chiney Ogwumike as the No.1 draft pick,Stefanie Dolson,Bria Hartley,Odyssey Sims, Kayla Mc Bride, Shoni Schimmel, Chelsea Gray are only a few of them. Stefanie Dolson looked during March Madness as the player who is maybe most ready for the WNBA ,you can compare that to last year when Elena Delle Donne the rookie of the year last year made a perfect transition from NCAA to the WNBA.
Lets take a look at the Teams to watch,of course the Minnesota Lynx will be the favorites again this season, but i am sure it will be much closer, the competition will get harder, Monica Wright will be sidelined with a injury at the beginning of the season, the Lynx added with Tan White from the Connecticut Sun another high caliber player to their roster.
The Atlanta Dream have to be a TOP favorite too this year, the roster they build is very impressive with french Star Player Celine Dumerc,2 time Euroleague MVP ,french Team Captain, she is also great from behind the arc and is one of these players who can deceide a game at the buzzer,in a late trade the Dream aquired Swin Cash a 3 time All Star from the Chicago Sky,they got Swin Cash in a trade with Courtney Clements and next years draft rights, with the Louisville product Shoni Shimmel they have one of the top rookies on their rooster,The Atlanta Dream definitely the team to watch.
Another Team I have on he positive side this year are the New York Liberty, not only that the have build a high quality team, also their return to the Madison Square Garden will give fans and team a boost, the New York Liberty acquired Tina Charles from the rebuilding Connecticut Sun, 2012 MVP,a player that gives 100% everywhere she players, she comes with great form from Europe where she spend the off season in Russia at Kursk together with Lindsay Whalen, another great addition to the Liberty Roster is Anna Cruz from Spain, she also come from the Euroleague and was teammates with De Wanna Bonner and Glory Johnson, the New York Liberty are my dark horse this year.
The LA Sparks and the Washington Mystics and the Tulsa Shock are teams i have on the side with the good teams, no really spectacular movement, but with Alyssa Brewer from UCLA they have one of the better rookies, they acquired Candace Wiggins from the Tulsa Shock an excellent 3 point shooter and close friend of Skylar Diggins, but the best addition to the Sparks Roster is the French Sandrine, Gruda she comes from UMMC Ekaterinburg ,the Russian Club with Candace Parker ,Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird,so she and Candace Parker already know each others game.
The Washington Mystics have grabbed 2 of the best rookies,as I mentioned above Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley, both from the NCAA Champions Uconn, they have acquired Kara Lawson from he Sun too,but after 2 seasons with injuries where nothing went really right for Kara Lawson we have to wait,in the first half of the season Mystics will miss Taylor HIll one of last years rookies who took the WNBA by storm because she’s awaiting a baby, the Mystics lost Crystal Langhorne in a trade to the Seattle Storm.
The Tulsa Shock looked very good in their preseason games, with a Skylar Diggins full of confidence, scoring a lot of points and already in perfect harmony with No2 draft pick Odyssey Sims from Baylor, the new Tulsa Shock looks very promising again although they lost Aussie Center Liz Cambage, she decided to not play in the WNBA 2014 and stay in Australia.
The Connecticut Sun are rebuilding with the No1 draft pick Chiney Ogwumike and Katie Douglas, the roster looks promising but we have to wait to see.
The Indiana Fever and the San Antonio Stars are 2 Teams that will have a very hard season, both rosters look a bit flat with too many unexperienced and average players, interesting to see how Becky Hammon will be doing after nearly 2 years of injury.
the Seattle Storm I see a little bit stronger than San Antonio and Indiana, Sue Bird is back after a season in Europe where she played with Taurasi and Parker at UMMC Ekaterinburg and helped to win the russian title,Crystal Langhorne a good addition to the roster, and with Brian Agler they might have the best Coach in the WNBA,this guy knows how to coach a championship team.
the Phoenix Mercury were beyond expectations last season, and so was Brittney Griner, she played the off season in China, her season there was mediocre,Diana Taurasis overseas trip was crowned with the russian title but with a disapointing loss in the semi finals of the Euroleague, i doubt that Phoenix will have a much better season than last year. although Candice Dupree and Erin Phillips complete a dtrong starting five
Chicago Sky ,Sky will make play offs guaranteed, but they are good enough to achieve more than that.if all players are on board, but Sylvia Fowles will be missing at least half of the season through hip surgery, Elene Delle Donne had a outstanding season and was rookie of the year fully deserved, the Sky with Delle Donne and Epihany Prince definitely another team to look at.,but there is a question mark behind the name Prince as she is still missing from her overseas trip at Kursk (Russia)
Enjoy the WNBA
