Have the Bobcats plus 9 Friday night against the Spurs. Game is tied 80-80 with less than 1:45 left.
Final score: Spurs 92, Bobcats 82.
Bobcats are down eight - AND COVERING - when Gary Neal commits a foul with 3 SECONDS LEFT. And, of course, Neal fouls a really good foul shooter in Danny Green, who makes both to give San Antonio a miracle cover.
There is no reason or excuse for a professional basketball player - read NBA player - to commit a foul down eight points with three seconds left. It's absolute bull. Sometimes it can happen in college, but it shouldn't occur in the NBA.
And I don't want to hear how this stuff evens out because it doesn't. You handicap the game wrong you lose. You handicap the game right you deserve to cash.
The NBA knows a lot of money is being wagered on their games and should monitor this type of end-game stupidity.
Gary Neal needs to go back to the Bucks where he belongs.
