He leads by 3 points and has played 4 fewer games than Ovi and 5 fewer than the next 4 highest players. factor that in with his pt a game average or so he would be up by 5+. He has 80 points and had 104 last year so with a few games left even if he gets 5 more points he will finish only 19 pts below previous yr....not here to blow up ur spot people like who they like and as you alluded to the depleted pens roster on all positions has probably hurt Sid more than it has helped him. It's all a matter of opinion nonetheless I'm just saying the question is if Crosby is the best and the proof is in the pudding he is not even close to 40-50 points off from
last year. Is he as good as he has been at his best? Maybe not like you said. maybe other teams are playing better/more varied defense as many nhl players will touch on. either way if he's underperforming by your standards but still leads the nhl point total wise while still playing 4-5 games less than those close to his total that's spectacular and should again point to him being the best in the league, even when he's not at his personal potential. He's just an amazing player and there are many no doubt I just see him as a step above
