This decision is especially painful because it seemed like there was a reasonable chance of the US Supreme Court taking the case and possibly overturning it. New Jersey, although they lost at the appellate level, got one judge to agree with their argument. I held out hope the Supreme Court would agree with the dissent although to be honest the anti-commandeering argument was a bit of a stretch.
(Note: It's still possible for New Jersey to get sports betting but it would have been a heck of a lot easier/better if PASPA was found to be unconstitutional.)
