Brady - There is a serious disconnect here you should be aware of.
Sunday at Midnight you claimed to have your 6th straight winning week and then 12 hours later you claimed that "integrity and honesty are of the utmost importance to me".
As GSJ2 pointed out, you were down 1.3 units on your 6 picks this week. Checking back, on the weekend of Oct. 27th you went 3-2 on 5 plays also for a 1.3 unit loss.
In the eyes of many people, people with integrity and honesty, you have not been a winner for 6 straight weeks.
Do you see the problem here?
It gets worse......
For tonight's game, your tagline is "In my 6-weeks with Pregame.com, we have won every Monday Night Football game we have played." That's a nice stat, but it fails to say that you have only played 3 Monday Night games in the last 6 weeks. Yes, your tagline is true, but it straddles that fine line between "integrity and honesty are of the utmost importance to me" and the ugliest of words in your business...."tout".
The good news is that this is a simple fix:
If you want to be judged on wins and losses, don't weight your selections. Simply put all of your picks in as 1 unit plays and if you have a winning record you'll have a winning week. If you choose to weigh your picks with varied unit sizes, then know you will be evaluated on your units won or lost vs. your actual record. You can have it one way or the other, but not both ways.
Also, it's just so simple to say "In my 6 weeks at Pregame we are 3-0 on Monday Night". Is that so hard? It's not shady, it's not deceptive, and it's the kind of record that people with honesty and integrity would put out there.
Hey Brady, you said it yourself, you have been a respected person in Vegas for twenty years. Please don't ruin all of that hard work with borderline claims of success and misleading hype about records. Now's the time, this can be fixed with a simple commitment to not be "that guy". Take the high road at every fork in the road, take the high road every chance you get. Everyone here knows you have not had 6 straight winning weeks....get ahead of this situation while you still have a chance to live up to your reputation of a guy that operates with "integrity and honesty".
Good luck, best wishes for a long career here at Pregame.
Carpe Diem -
Joe D
