It's not too late to be a star. These cookies have won more bake-offs than I can count.
If you can read a racing form or stat sheet, or boil water, you can make these cookies, and the plus - your wife, kids, girlfriend or whoever will display a new level of appreciation for your newfound culinary skills.
I'm not kidding - these cookies kick ass!
Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Christmas Cookies
These cookies are about 3 inches in diameter and are soft. Don't forget to dust them with powdered sugar.
Recipe makes about 40 cookies.
Cream together -
½ cup butter
1 ½ cups brown sugar
add -
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
sift together then add to the mix-
2 ½ cups flour
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
add –
1 cup sour cream
2 – 6 oz. packages of chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts.
Drop golf ball sized globs of cookie dough on a baking sheet and you're good to go.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes of until lightly brown.
Cool, then dust with sifted powdered sugar.
