Most entertaining post of the day! Thanks!
Or one could look at it this way....
Reasonable Person: Do the plays that Fezzik makes on his home page count for anything here at Pregame?
Pregame: Well, sure, people pay for those plays, and we track those results, but when determining if Fezzik is a winning or losing handicapper we completely disregard his home page plays.
Reasonable Person: Wait a second.....he charges for plays every single day on his home page, those results get charted here at Pregame, but when he announces his record here at Pregame he only uses his BLAP record as his results? How does that make sense?
Pregame: You don't understand, we are 100% transparent here at Pregame, just look up his record.
Reasonable Person: Hold on a minute, are you saying that his BLAP record is the only one he uses to promote his wins and losses here at Pregame, and that the 500+ games a year he has people pay for on his home page don't get figured in to his +/- all time record here at Pregame?
Pregame: Once again, you're just not paying attention! Fezzik won a handicapping contest 9 years ago that had close to 100 people involved. Then he won it again the following year with more people involved. That's not easy to do. Please focus on what's important!
Reasonable Person: You just said that Fezzik won at Pregame for 2013, 2014, and also won in 2015. Is that counting BLAP and his home page? All of his picks matter, right? Surely you aren't basing that on just one subset of his plays, and not them all....are you? Also, his BLAP number in 2015 was just like +1 unit or so, right? Wouldn't that make all of his BLAP players net losers based on the fees involved?
Pregame: Here we go again...another short-term investor who can't see the forest through the trees! How many ways can we say it.......Fezzik is 61% on 3 star plays here at Pregame. That alone should tell you that he's a winning player!
It's all about perspective, huh?
Have a quality day -
