Thanks for the kind words. Kentucky was a disappointment as it was the perfect spot for them to take out some frustrations following their recent play. Their first half struggles against 'Bama was a concern but they finally seemed on the verge of pulling away when the went up 48-38 only to see the Tide make another run. Bama has been an underachieving team this season and it could be the end for coach Grant. But KY's poor effort last night indicates there must be something going on internally with this program, perhaps some unpublicized locker room or chemistry issues. Either that or their talent is vastly overrated. Seems to me a general lack of maturity of the players and no true on court leader. I would not be surprised if the Wildcats do not make the SEC Tournament finals and are an early out in the NCAAs -- should win their first NCAA game but could be eliminated in the round of 32 depending on who they draw.
Lean to both Brown and Columbia but not sure I trust either to cover a big number. Probably more comfortable in backing Brown which won at Dartmouth by 13 earlier this season. Yale might end up being a play for me tonight -- Harvard is in revenge and can wrap up Ivy title with win but Yale is looking for series sweep of the top team and there is plenty of room for Harvard to win without covering. Yale snapping 2 game losing streak with win at Penn a plus and this is their first home game since Feb 15. I prefer Wright State as well -- considering them as a play. No strong thoughts on High Point -- line was exactly where I thought it would be -- and did not see the post till after tip off anyway -- never considered a play in the game. As to Wichita State they might be content to conserve energy for the next two games and do enough to win comfortably. They clearly could cover big number but might just take air out of ball in second half if up by 12 to 14 points or so. But no way I could take the points with Evansville. I shall just pass that one. Best of luck!
Why would Furman want this game any more than Georgia Southern? Sure, GSU swept the season series (indicative of the better team in generaly) but don't you think GSU would like to win the conference tournament in its final season as a member? I took a pass on the game -- number is right where I have it -- was actually looking to play Georgia Southern at minus 3 or less although both teams enter this game in poor current form. But I wish you good luck with the Paladins!
