Weygint, Mandalay, Spartan and Thtaman thank you all very much for your kind words. I really wasn't expecting any support in trying to answer someone who in my opinion wasn't making a fair statement. But thank you again for stopping by.
I really feel for what you experienced Weygint. That's really unbelievable and sickening.
I try to put myself in the customer's shoes. We all hate to lose especially when the promo highlights a big play. I always strive to have solid, in-depth analysis for each of my picks so the customer knows exactly why I like a play, that's it not some guessing game. Sometimes I've lost a key number while taking the time to do an extensive writeup. That bites, but it's my opinion the customer is entitled to know my thoughts not just the pick.
This site, as far as I understand, derives it's income solely from pick selling. As Spartan will tell you, it's an honor to be a pro on this site but it comes with responsibility. Some of that responsibility entails interacting with customers and putting out big plays.
Windy City, who probably has moved on to give someone else grief since I happen to win my Triple Star Sunday play on the Steelers, said I've been popping out Triple Stars like candy. That just isn't true. If anything I don't put out enough Triple Stars - and get criticized for that.
In a perfect world it should come down to winning, records and credibility. That's why I really got upset when Windy City wrote what he did.
Anyways, very much appreciate the support some have shown and for your patience in letting me vent. It has been somewhat cathartic.
Best of luck to all of us!
