I liked the Loving Spoonful. Good choice by you.
My favorite Young Rascals song is "How Can I Be Sure." Also liked "It's a Beautiful Morning."
Of course liked many Beatles songs, but my two favorites are "Day in the Life Of" and "Hard Day's Night."
Not a fan of Hermit Hermit's, but liked most of the British Invasion groups with the Beatles and DC5 topping the list.
So many other groups from the 1960's I liked a lot, including the Turtles, Association and Monkees.
A few years ago, a music discussion came up on the posting forum about favorite groups. I listed the Monkees among mine and really got ripped by many, including Fezzik. I understand the Monkees weren't hip (it's one of the great musical injustices that Jimi Hendrix had to play as a warm-up act for them), but I really enjoyed many of their songs, especially "Daydream Believer" and "Pleasant Valley Sunday." For those who criticize the Monkees, I point out Nesmith's guitar playing on "Pleasant Valley Sunday." It's the best of anybody's version of the song.
