Todd Bowles Coaching Principles
1. After every surprisingly strong win, let team think they are supermen, and come in utterly flat and dead next week.
2. Do not ever let Powell be the main runner, because he is actually good. Make him a backup for 5 years straight, wasting your only explosive RB talent.
3. When you have a young inexperienced QB (Geno, Darnold), do not throw passes beyond 5 yards, in order to "protect" them. This lets defense press 8 guys all game, killing your run game and INCREASING the chance of your QB throwing an INT.
4. When you lead by 14 points, play ultra conservative until the other team comes back and takes the lead.
5. Let your players showboat after every tackle or 5-yd catch, even when they’re losing the game, and NEVER punish anyone for doing so.
6. Have idiotic penalties on every 2nd play, in game after game.
7. Do not have a single draft pick exceed expectations. Every single one of them will under perform.
8. Be utterly unable to adjust your game plans mid-game. The other coach always outperforms you after halftime.
