It is finally out! This is a poll that I wait for every year. It is going to sound crazy but it has been conducted going all the way back to 1940. It has predicted all but two elections correctly (1948, 1960). It has had an abnormal rate of accuracy on calling states (80%+ on a yearly basis). What is it you might ask? It is the Sholastic News Kids poll. Scholastic Corporation is one of the top two publishers of educational materials worldwide. They have been around since 1920.
I have literally used this betting on individual states over the previous two elections and I will, later, do it again this year.
This year they polled OVER 153,000 students this year. The premise is that they will receive a good cross-section of the students' parents' views/potential votes. If you look at the previous five elections you will be amazed by how close the maps lineup. No doubt this year will buck those trends but, as usual, I believe the kids will be fairly close.
Results can be found HERE if you are interested in checking it out.

Of course, they are not right on every state. I can guarantee you that Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, South Carolina, Texas and Utah will not be won by Clinton. I'm very, very confident in that. But... If you think about it, though, this is a very good indicator of where the country is heading in 2020 and 2024 and beyond as these kids will be voting come that time.
Of course, the Donald will get much, much more than 35% of the popular vote.
Of course, the OTHER category will get much, much less than 13% of the popular vote.
This isn't the end-all-be-all predictor but it certainly could/should feed your brain when you think about the sample size of kids "polled". I know it does for me.
