Just spent a few days reading the original "conversations with Fez" thread, which just seemed to die for no real good reason?
Poor Bob, at some stage on that thread he expressed his hope that the weirdos wouldn't end up on his thread. That was two years ago, so he is mightily tired of it I imagine. My sympathies for you Bob.
I have a few questions - where is RJ or a mod to ban some of these accounts? And with all due respect, how disturbed is Vinny Rhombi/ Max9999 / Billy636363/ Larrycartwright / a1picks? There is trolling - and then there is this. Pathological type stuff, whoever is behind those accounts is one mentally ill inadequate. I'm not kidding pal, the number of hours you've spent here trolling absolutely boggles the mind. GET SOME HELP B0SS!
I know you're just another tout trying to drag this service down so you think you're being a constructive troll. Guess what, the only thing killing this service is itself. No redesign, no upgrades, no changes. A sad decline in the quality of moderation in the forum. And, of course, the obvious fact that Pregame star recruit Fez is an NFL monster but little else...he can't justify spending twelve months on here when he's really only useful for football season.
As an aside to Fez, you need to forget about basketball. The game has literally changed entirely in only a few years, the whole ground has shifted. But it seemed Fez that you - or your brainstrust - is capping like it's 2003 still. Having guys like Shaq in the paint, and Kobe putting up 28 on 22 attempts from mid range is old old news....I imagine when the shot clock and three point line first came in it was the same thing. The game is so so different you have to throw out the old rules, wait for a new order to establish itself and go from there. If that's a year or two of just watching the games and paper trading them then that is what you do Fez, you don't bury yourself in a hundred unit hole because you have to put out product. The tragedy, you hit like 60% in the NFL last season and finished up in a six foot hole. A waste.
The NBA has almost finished it's shakeout now. When Pop goes, that will be the last of the old school gone and all teams will have to space the floor, shoot from anywhere and push pace. In addition to Pop going, when the LBJ / Melo / Rondo generation goes the process will be complete and the game will have finished this period of evolution. The next generation are guys like Trae Young who will shoot from anywhere, push the pace relentlessly and are compelled to follow analytic concepts. If you really really must put out basketball product it needs to be props because they are beatable.
Anyway, it's been fascinating reading. I see JoeD still around - a normal person! - despite his bust up with RJ where Joe walked. Is Mike still around? Bench? Ricirici? Some of these guys are what this community should be built around, instead we get an out of date website and a one man army of trolls. Sad.
