I am a big Miami supporter and their schedule is weak. Non Conference opponents are FAU Savannah St USF. They do play U of Florida down here. I don't what to expect from them but watching Florida barely beat Sun Belt teams last year I expect a close game. 2 toughest games: FSU and UF.
Everyone is always asking about the Miami D after last year (they had some bad games on D) and I have to expect the D to be better. (Good thing: They did create turnovers.) Last year: New Coach, new system. I think around 20-25 players got to play on the D. Also got some talented recruits on D. Al Qadin Muhammed, Jermaine Grace, Artie Burns, and Devante Bond. I expect improvement.
Now on to the good.. The Offense. This Offense is going to score a ton of points. Really talented Skill players. RB- DUKEE Johnson--Best player in college football? New RBs. Corn Edler, Ray Ray (Lewis), Augustus Edwards WRs are stacked. New players--WR Griffin 6'5" & Stacey Coley Plus last year U had Dorsett, Lewis, Hurns, Waters. 2 new TEs.
Now here is the big difference maker on the Offense: QB Morris. I watched him closely last year and he has a ton of talent. But, he can make some bad decisions. At times he was throwing downfield into triple coverage instead of dumping it off to the RB or just not seeing the wide open WR. If he can get better at decision making and not try to do too much this team will be really really good.
Coaching: AL Golden. Look at what he did at TEMPLE. Record improved every year. Now he has the Miami brand and the South Florida talent. This team will be better and has an outside shot to run the table (Weak Schedule). The D doesn't have to be that good. Because if the Offense delivers like it should: LOOK OUT!
My fan bias: Best Miami in 10 years.
Overrated? LOL Time will tell.
