I personally don't feel like its a bad beat (Spoken by someone who live bet App state and lost because of it). Just putting in my two cents.
Whenever you bet a favorite you have to understand your goal and the teams goal are not the same. Your goal is to win by a certain amount of points. The team is just trying to win. This is why I would honestly say 80% of my bets or more are dogs. If I have a team + points my goal will ALWAYS be aligned with their goal because they are trying to win. (Technically I guess thats not ALWAYS true, if I have a team +3.5 and they are losing by 6 with a minute to go they aren't going to kick a FG but they definitely won't lay down at the 5 and prevent me from winning)
I was on the wrong side but the kid did what he had to do to reach his goal of winning the game. I know when I bet on a favorite there is a possibility of that happening.
