Hello HIZZ_HONOR,
This is not meant to be judgmental to you or anybody else here. It is your money and your wager which means you have the liberty to do what you want, and unless you are buying picks from me I have no position to scold you. I would like for people to consider this a Public Service Announcement. I always buy the half point on 3,4,6,7 and 10. It is worth the extra 10-15 cents. It was Week 15 I believe where the Patriots won due to that "controversial" call on the Jesse James no touchdown catch. Also there was the Sunday night game where Dallas beat Oakland by 3 points. Both games landed on 3, a key number.
3.0-New England vs. Pittsburgh; bought down to NE-2.5 you're a winner
3.0-New England vs. Pittsburgh; bought PIT up to +3.5 you're a winner
3.0-Dallas vs. Oakland; bought down to DAL -2.5 you're a winner
3.0-Dallas vs. Oakland; bought OAK up to +3.5 you're a winner
You would have won instead of pushing, increasing your long term winning percentage and bankroll. If you would have bought down that half point on the BCS game you would have pushed, protecting your bankroll. Buying the hooks on key numbers is a slam dunk, a no-brainer. Yes you are risking more vigorish but since there are key numbers, you are managing this risk wisely. So please, do yourself a great favor and take this into consideration when your're about to make your wager. On another note that was a great game last night. PAPPANASTOS, I had a feeling that he would get jitterbugs and miss, I have called that too many times in both college and the NFL. Saban I thought did a good job managing the time at the end, minus the little plunders that they were making with the miscommunication between the players and coaches on when to snap the ball to get into position.
I also just wanted to say that today's card in college basketball has some great action on it. I am doing my handicapping right now and I feel that there will be a lot of entertaining games.
