Bama v W Va ......unofficial whispers down here are that 5th year senior Blake Sims will start at QB. Other than limited mop up work behind McAaron, his only opportunities to shine were in the last 2 spring games, and he did not rise to the occasion. Will Coker play? Absolutely......look for dueling qbs for the first 2 games, maybe 3. The Tide will definitely settle on a starter by the Florida game. The Tide has a stable of running backs behind Yelding, and I expect a heavy dose of ground game to take the pressure off of Sims, who also has the wheels to pull the ball down and run, something the Tide has not seen in years. What does all this mean? IMO, the safest play here is on the UNDER 55.5. Bama's D was humiliated in the 2nd half of the Iron Bowl, costing them a shot at a 3rd straight title. Oklahoma poured salt in the wound. Saban's mindset is defense. He takes pride by even personally coaching the DB's. This is a statement game for Kirby & Co. Other whispers are that this group (defensively) could be the best since Saban arrived. Combine all these factors, I see this game staying in the 40's.
