I do not usually believe in rating games, meaning betting more on one than on another. While I usually wager enough to win the same amount on each selection, very seldom, do I feel certain games deserve more of a investment. Well, tonight is one of those games that really turns me on.
Seattle hosts K.C. (Duffy vs. Iwakuma). Duffy for K.C has a deceiving 1-0 record, and he is a manager's worst nightmare. He has a habit that has cost some of the best pitchers in baseball, their jobs and a nice career. That is he is a wild man. I'm not a pitching coach, so I really have no clue why he suffers from that sickness of issuing too many bases on balls (walks). If anything in MLB drives me crazy, its walks!
On the other hand, Seattle sends out starter Iwakuma, who really had some unfortunate luck when he injured a finger that kept him out for awhile. Too long for Mariner fans, who fell in love with the talented pitcher. He has good stuff, and while he is not the hardest throwing pitcher in baseball, he has great control.
The Mariners return home tonight for a nice home stand, and open up against the powerless Royal offense. If it were not for singles, they might not ever score. That combined with having to depend on Duffy "The Wildman", I give a tremendous edge to Seattle to get the win tonight. The Mariners are still in second place , not far behind the A's, and with any luck, in a week, could be in first place in their division. I look for Duffy to walk the Royals "off the cliff" tonight, and the Mariners, led by Cano and Smoak, to get a big win!
I took Seattle -127 @5Dimes (Triple unit selection)
