I've finally recovered from my Stanley Cup hangover and I'm back with multiple spots I like today.
*2---Rangers F5 ML (+110)....One of my favorite angles in MLB is fading a pitcher in his first start off the DL. In the first few innings they always seem to struggle with command and velocity regardless of how many rehab starts theyve made. They are way out of their normal routine. Clevinger hasnt pitched in 2 months and now his first start is at a tough place to pitch in Arlington. Lance Lynn has been rock solid ripping off 7 straight quality starts. His era is 4.40 but his FIP is 3.05 suggesting that he will continue to pitch well. I think that Clevinger may have some problems in the early innings here tonight..... WINNER
*2---Padres F5 -0.5 (+105).....Another DL pitcher. Chacin is making his first start off the DL and he looked awful in his 4 starts prior. Padres have to be feeling good after bashing the ball all over Coors all weekend. Luchessi has a 3.11era at Petco this year in 8 starts and is in good form with 3 straight quality starts. Once again playing 1st 5 as I could see Chacin having trouble early. I;m taking the Bullys out of it.....WINNER
*1---Padres TT OVER 3.5 (-145)....juicy but I like it. Counsell has said that Chacin will not have any pitches or innings limit as the Brew only have 1 off day the remainder of the 1H. I like the Padres bats to stay hot.....LOSER
*2---Cardinals RL (-105)....Another angle I like to play is backing a pitcher after he got pounded and the faces that same opponent in his next start. I feel like the pitcher and coaching staff makes the proper adjustments the next time around and has a rebound outing. Mikolas got pummeled down in Miami last week but now he comes back to Busch where he has a 2.87 ERA over 7 starts this year. I will take him to bounce back tonight and the Cards bats should do enough here.....WINNER
*0.5---Parlay---Cards ML, Rangers 1st 5 ML, Padres 1st 5 ML....pays about 4.5 to 1.....WINNER
Best of Luck !
