Analysis

We are going against the public here and take the home team Broncos at mile high, to cover the points at home over the indoor Saints. The Saints are coming off two straight victories including last weeks comeback win in Tampa Bay. Good news for the Saints is the return of interim head coach Joe Vitt, bad news is the defense is on pace to absolutely destroy the NFL record for yards allowed in a season... by almost 700 yards, needless to say the Saints have problems stopping anybody, allowing 465 yards of offense per game and have allowed 30 points per game. Denver is coming in off the bye, and possibly one of the most amazing halfs of football in NFL history as the Broncos fought back from a 24-0 halftime deficit to win 35-24 over their division rival San Diego Chargers. The New Orleans run defense is giving up 160 yards per game on the ground and will have to find an answer for the ageless Willis McGahee who has two 100 yard rushing games this year and is coming off three straight games of at least 98 total yards of offense. Peyton Manning will be in line for a big passing day, as the Saints have given up 290 yards through the air on average per game and could be in line for his best day statistically as a Bronco. The Broncos are averagin 28 points per contest with 20 of those points coming in the second half and 13.2 points in the fourth quarter. This game will not follow the same script as the Charger game as we expect the Broncos to build a lead and grind out the clock to ensure victory. Take the Broncos with the points.
