Analysis

The Lions are not in for an easier game this week following the Monday night loss to the Bears as the Seahawks come to Detroit with a defense every bit as intimidating and dominating. We will take the Seahawks with the points as they attempt to steal one from a Detroit squad that has struggled to equal last season's breakout performance by Matt Stafford as he threw for over 5,000 yards. Detroit does not match up well with Seattle as the Seahawks D has made a name for themselves by shutting down the run, and the best receivers on their opponent's offense en route to a 4-3 record and 5-2 ATS mark. Brandon Browner, at 6'4” will attempt to do his best impression of Charles Tillman from the Bears, who all but shut down Calvin Johnson, including taking a touchdown right out of his hands in the endzone. Seattle has build a bull running game behind Marshawn Lynch and has put up 131 yards on the ground per game, something Detroit has not thrived at stopping as they have been giving up over 100 per contest. Take Seattle with the points as they look to continue their smash-mouth brand of football.
