Analysis

We are going to take the points in hand and side with RGIII and the Redskins as Pitt returns home off a hard fought road win over division rival Cincinnati. Pittsburgh is only 2-4 ATS this season and has already had problems with another mobile quarterback who isn't having close to the successful season statistically as RGIII, as the Steelers held on to win 16-14 against another NFC East quarterback in Micheal Vick and the Eagles. The Redskins were robbed of victory after getting the go ahead touchdown with under two minutes to go, only to give up a long bomb touchdown to Eli Manning and Victor Cruz. If Washington is suspect against the pass, Big Ben Roethlisburger is leading a passing attack that is producing 282 yards per game and will look for the same holes in th edefence that Manning found if they are still there. Washington's run game is their backbone as they have put up 179 yards per game on the ground, with a mix of their dynamic quarterback and a backfield by committee approach. The Pittsburgh running game has struggled this year thanks to injuries and is puttin gup only 90 yards while the Redskins have been tough against the run, giving up only 85 yards. We like RGII to cover this spread while they may not win this matchup, they will be motivated to make amends for the last games late miscues and stay in the NFC East divisional race.
