I just can’t bet on Hill coming off an Achilles injury against such a dangerous opponent. There is no way to know what he will look like, and to be back in the cage 9 months after rupturing that tendon feels like too soon, especially against someone like Pereira who will certainly be kicking his legs. Pereira just keeps answering questions, and while I thought his upward push from the promotion was built on getting him a big money fight with Adesanya, he has proven that they were right to move him up the ladder. Now at 205, it seems like his full capabilities are unleashed. He is a massive guy, even for this weight class, and while everyone’s game plan will be to take him down, Hill was just an OK wrestler before the Achilles rupture. I expect this to turn into a firefight at some point, and Pereira has more power and better technique. I think he gets a knockout here.
