They are returning home following a five-game, 12-day road trip that concluded with a 3-2 win against the Predators this past Sunday. 

Toronto is 2-5 the past seven times following a victory. The Maple Leafs haven't played at home since March 17. They are likely to start Ilya Samsonov in net. Samsonov figures to be rusty having not played in eight days. He just returned to the team following the birth of his son. 

The Panthers are the sixth-highest scoring team in the NHL. They also rank No. 1 in shots on goal. So they are more than capable of taking advantage of any defensive lapses and goalie mistakes.
