Im going with the new coach boost tonight as the Canucks take on the Blackhawks in Rick Tocchet’s debut behind the bench. When a new coach takes over, each player is fighting for ice time. Yes, this season has been a disaster and im sure a lot of players were caught off guard by the Boudreau firing. While I don’t think this season will turn around for Vancouver, I do expect max effort tonight from the Canucks players. They also get the benefit of skating against Petr Mrazek, who despite playing well in his last game, still ranks as one of the worst goaltenders in hockey by all metrics. They are a heavy favorite tonight, but I think they have a chance to make a statement for their new head coach. Im taking the Puck Line.
