The new look Sooners have looked nothing short of impressive. Last weeks romp of Nebraska showed no matter what the situation, talent wins out. Dillon Gabriel has been in control of this offense passing for 759 yards and 7 TDs without an interception. The rushing attack is chiming in nicely with 235 yards per game. I have no doubts Oklahoma will score on Kansas State. This game will come down to the defense. Brent Venables will be sure to draw up a gameplan to make Kansas State one dimensional. Deuce Vaughn was contained last week vs Tulane and that forced Adrian Martinez to throw the ball, something he has not done well here in 2022. In 3 games, Martinez has thrown for just 304 yards and 1 touchdown. Willie Fritz exposed the Wildcats last week. Brent Venables will capitalize. The Sooner defense is allowing under 3 yards per carry so far on the season. They will get penetration and stuff the rushing attack. I expect OU at home to announce themselves as legit CFB Playoff contenders with a convincing win.
