Usually in divisional matchups the underdogs put up a better fight than Miami has but I think the Marlins are realizing their season is finished and they have no legit shot of getting a wildcard spot. They lost both games in yesterday’s doubleheader and have now scored 3 runs or less in 14 straight games & over the last month they’re one of the 3 worst teams in wOBA & wRC+. The Braves are bringing up a minor leaguer to start in Bryce Elder and his numbers were pretty solid with a 3.78 ERA and had a 9.4 SO/9 during his 2 year span in the minors. He has made 4 spot starts in the majors this year and one of them came against Miami back in April when Miami was more at full strength and playing better baseball but now they’re not. Miami has the 6th worst record at home at 23-31 and Atlanta is 25-10 as a road favorite. Miami has also been swept by the Mets which is the other top team in the NL East and I see Atlanta doing the same.
