Los Angeles Chargers -3 (-115)
Vikings are coming off another brutal loss, where their win-expectancy approached 90%, yet the defense allowed Ravens to come back and win it in OT. Baltimore gained 500 yards and ran an astronomical 89 plays, 45 of which were rushing attempts. Minnesota will be without LB Anthony Barr in this one as well as Harrison Smith, who is unvaccinated and is still on the COVID-19 list. Vikings have also dealt with G Dakota Dozier going to the hospital due to difficulty breathing from COVID-19. It’s a scary situation and the whole team has been undergoing a ton of testing obviously. Finally, news broke this week that start RB Dalvin Cook allegedly assaulted and imprisoned his former girlfriend. Cook will play and the legal process will play out, but that’s another distraction that this team has been dealing with this week. I think the defense is going to have a really tough time in this one, and I don’t see the offense being as ‘sharp’ as needed to win and cover on the road.
