We've been on Casey Mize plenty of times this season, but like last night, I have to ask why the Tigers aren't favored. For one, Mize threw a ton of pitches in June, with two (almost three) 100+ pitch games. For a young kid, that reminds me of what the Cardinals did to Wacha and to a lesser extent Carlos Martinez. We could be starting to see that with shorter outings lately by Mize. Carlos Hernandez will strike people out. In 25 IP this season he's K'd 36 batters, and the Tigers will strike out a ton. This is also, as most free plays are, a client play.
