I love the Astros in this spot tonight. The Astros absolutely crush LH pitching and they face one who's really struggled in Rodriguez. The Astros rank 2nd in all of MLB in .OPS vs LH pitching. These Astros have also had great success vs Rodriguez as they have a comined .352 batting .avg and a whopping 1.095 .OPS vs him. Rodriguez has given up atleast 4 runs or more in 5 of his L/6 starts and gave up 3 runs in just 5 innings his last start before getting pulled. He also had a very poor month of May as he sported an ugly 7.28 .ERA in 6 starts for the month. The Astros send out Greinke and he's been outstanding of late. He's allowed 3 runs or less in 4 of his L/5 starts. I also like the fact that Greinke has been much better taking the ball on the road. He has a sparking 1.50 .ERA in his 6 road starts, with a .175 batting .avg against. He also has a very strong 5-1 K/BB ratio and allowed just 3 HR's on the road. I also like that current Red Sox have a combined .233 .avg vs Greinke. I absolutely expect Greinke to out pitch Rodriguez here and hand the ball off to the best arms in the Astros bullpen to close the game out. I look for the Astros to continue their dominance over these Red Sox in this spot and I'm all over the ASTROS on Thursday.
