First off we have above average weather with mild temps and a slight breeze to left. We have Dan Merzel behind the plate and he's been an over guy in a couple of games this season and in a few last year he was tough on pitchers as well. So, not the be all, end all, but a good start. The Braves emptied their bullpen last night as the Phillies exploded on offense, which should also fire up Atlanta's offense today. The Phillies send out Velasquez, who has allowed two HR's in two of his three starts, and hasn't pitched deep which could bring in  the usually shitty Phillies bullpen earlier. Most of the Braves key hitters have also had great success against Velasquez as well. Anderson can go either way. He's has some good starts and some bad ones, but the Phillies have already seen him twice this season so there won't be any surprises. And of course the Atlanta pen hasn't been very good all season, and worse lately. Just too many ways this is NOT a pitchers' duel.
