The Big 12 is down this year and I am being kind. 2020 has been a twilight one year for all of us but it's passed along to some football teams across the land in all conferences. As I type this teams like Michigan and Penn State have sucked, big time. And we have had some pleasant surprises, which we take this year wherever they appear, in Indiana and Liberty come to my mind. But the Big 12 overall is down. I do think as the season is playing itself out Oklahoma is separating itself from the field in way of the eyeball test. Frankly I think they are better on both sides of the ball and yes, I believe they have a significant edge in coaching here. My source tells me not all is hunky dory in Stillwater. Gundy ruffled some feathers, as he is prone to do anyway, this summer with the whole T Shirt episode. Of course he apologized with what had to be possibly the most insincere statement in recorded history. The team has not unraveled by any stretch but they are a team that might not have the usual resiliency once engaged in a real street fight with a team the likes of Oklahoma. And trust me, the Sooner's will take every opportunity to rub every grain of salt in the wound they can. There is zero love lost here. Spencer Rattler is in for an epic night here. I don't see this years Cowboys team having the offensive firepower to keep pace over the course of four long quarters. And I am told Hubbard is not, in reality, playing at 100%. I say Lincoln Riley's club separates in the second half and wins this thing by double digits without too much nasty drama.
Now, I have won 8 of my last 11 game of the year releases, 72%. That is strong but it is not 100%. Nobody does that. In fact I have lost the last two I released. That is rare but it happens. Nothing more frustrating that a capper who ignores the losses. I hate that crap as much as anyone does guys. This is not a lock. Those do not exist. I try to keep things real. Do not over hit any one game. Most folks listen, and some never will. But just trying sincerely to help. I love the Sooner's here, a lot. But sure things are a myth in this business.
