The Red Wings head to the west coast after stunning home victories against the Bruins and Golden Knights during the weekend. These wins can't hide the fact that Detroit ranks last in the NHL in scoring. The Red Wings have scored three or fewer goals in six of their last seven games. 

The Ducks won't be taking the Red Wings lightly. The Ducks, in fact, need this game to halt a three-game losing streak. They are off an embarrassing 6-2 loss to Edmonton on Sunday. If Anaheim is going to win it needs to do that through defense. 

The Ducks rank 25th in scoring with an ineffective power play unit, but are sixth defensively. They have produced no more than two goals in five of their last six games. 

So I see a tight-checking, low-scoring contest.
